With plans for 50,000 trees to be planted, improving air quality, biodiversity and educational experiences, York’s Lib Dems are working to provide a new sustainable community space for generations to come.
The York Community Woodland project has been underway since February 2020 and has involved a wide range of community engagement activity - from seed sowing with local primary schools, to a six week long co-design phase in collaboration with the public in May 2021.

Protection Measures have been installed using Ward Committee funds on the verge on Skelton Village Green to prevent vehicles from driving over it and turning it into mud.
This measure should help to keep the area looking pleasant and safer for all!
Millfield Lane Footpath Widened
Cllr. Anne Hook was very pleased to see that the Public Realm Team has removed the grass and other vegetation which had been growing over the combined foot/cyclepath on Millfield Lane after she contacted them to see if their edging machine would be able to do the work.
