Cllr. Anne Hook was very pleased to see that the Public Realm Team has removed the grass and other vegetation which had been growing over the combined foot/cyclepath on Millfield Lane after she contacted them to see if their edging machine would be able to do the work.
“The footpath is much wider now and this has been done just in time for the return to school of many young people in the village, who walk and cycle this way to Manor School. It allows more room for social distancing. Outside of the school rush hour, having a wider path means that it is safer for older residents to pass each other, whether on foot or cycling. There have been lots of favourable comments on Facebook and in emails and I have passed residents’ thanks on to the team responsible for doing the work.”
