Fulford library is now open for browsing, borrowing and computer use. The Explore team is keeping the visitors feeling safe by restricting the number of customers allowed in the library, providing hand sanitising stations, requesting everyone to wear masks, social distancing and quarantining their books.
Councillor Keith Aspden, local Fulford and Heslington councillor, commented:
“Libraries have always been at the heart of our communities in York, it’s great to see Fulford's library safely opening its doors to readers once again.
“I’d like to thank the Explore team, who have worked hard to provide excellent online resources throughout the pandemic, helping to support many residents across York, particularly those living on their own.
"The success of our Explore Centres and Reading Cafés is testament to the hard work of the staff and volunteers who make them such great places to spend time in.”
