Cllr Keith Aspden, Liberal Democrat Ward Councillor for Fulford & Heslington, has welcomed new funding to carry out a number of improvements on Main Street in Heslington.
Fulford & Heslington Ward Committee made the commitment to invest in footway improvements last year and over recent weeks; work on-site has completed which improved the quality of the local footway.
A total of £5,750 has been used by the Ward Committee to fund the much needed improvements to the footway on Main Street.
Cllr Keith Aspden said:
“This is another example of using ward committee resources to improve the area and see benefits for local residents.
“I am pleased that we were able to invest £5,750 to upgrade sections of the footway on Main Street, Heslington, and as ward councillor, I am continuously looking for further opportunities for ward committee schemes.
“If any residents or local community groups have any suggestions on how ward funding should be spent in Fulford and Heslington, then please contact me at [email protected], so their ideas can be put forward.”
